The Tri-City & Olympia Railroad Company (TCRY) is a shortline railroad company that operates near Richland, Washington. We have openings for the following positions.
Current Positions
- Electrician - Trace out short circuits in wiring, using test meter. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools. Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, strip insulation from wire ends, thread conduit ends, connect couplings and fabricate and secure conduit support brackets. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Inspect and test operation, mechanical parts, and circuitry of gate crossings, signals, and signal equipment also inspect electrical units of railroad grade crossing gates. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair railroad signal systems.
- Locomotive Mechanic - We have an opening for an experienced LOCOMOTIVE MECHANIC, to repair and maintain a fleet of 12 locomotives.
- Duties/Responsibilities - This position is responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of the locomotive's mechanical and electrical components on:
- Locomotive Engine Maintenance - Repair running gears such as wheels, springs, hangers, and brake rigging traction motors. Test and repair brake systems, safety appliances, couplers, draft systems, air compressors, safety valves, lube oil pumps, filter systems, fuel systems, radiators and shutters. Install, disassemble, assemble, repair or replace locomotive diesel engine components.
- Inspecting - Be able to perform 92-day and annual inspections per FRA & CFR regulations.
