News Article from washingtonports.org The Port of Benton held a groundbreaking ceremony on their Intermodal Transload Facility earlier this month with Senator Jerome Delvin as the featured speaker. The port teamed with the State of Washington, City of Richland and TriCity and Olympia Railroad to build the 7,000 square foot intermodal (truck/rail) transload facility at the city's Horn Rapids Industrial Park. The transload facility will allow shippers access to both Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Class I railroads.
