UNION, Ore.-- Three people have died in a train crash.
Oregon State Police say this happened at 2:54 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in Union County.
They say right now it appears that the Union Pacific Train was traveling eastbound near the Curtis Rioad and Miller Lane crossing.
For unknown reasons the Jeep turned onto Miller Lane in the path of the oncoming train.
The train hit the Jeep and ejected all three people including a dog.
They all died at the scene.
Next of kin still needs to be notified before names of the victims are released.
